Corinthians
at Palmeiras

This is the Choque-Rei, São Paulo's biggest derby, and it never needs selling. Palmeiras host at the Allianz Parque, and they've been one of Brazil's most consistent sides for years, loaded with money, depth and a proper winning habit. Corinthians, the Timão with that enormous working-class fanbase, travel across town as the scrappier, more unpredictable lot, and they love nothing more than spoiling a rival's party. Palmeiras the nod on class, but derbies throw the form book in the bin, so expect tackles flying, cards flashing and a right old shouting match in the stands. Tasty, proper football theatre.
